Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup yellow poppy seeds
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon lemon zest
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • Fresh herbs optional

Instructions
 

  • In a medium bowl, combine the yellow poppy seeds with the olive oil.
  • Add the lemon zest, salt, and pepper, then mix thoroughly.
  • Heat a pan over medium heat, and add the garlic. Sauté for 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  • Add the poppy seed mixture to the pan, and cook for another 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with fresh herbs, if desired.
