The Tweechi journal

How can you price a workshop with confidence?

Understand your costs, choose a realistic capacity and make the price easy for attendees to understand.

Which costs belong in your workshop price?

Include preparation time, materials, venue hire, payment fees and delivery time. Allow for administrative work and any tax you are required to charge. The number of seats you expect to sell matters more than the maximum number that fits in the room.

How does capacity affect your margin?

Work out your costs at a cautious attendance level. Divide fixed costs across those expected attendees, then add the cost of materials per person. This gives you a useful starting point before you decide what the experience is worth and what your audience can afford.

What should attendees see before paying?

Show the total price, what is included, the date, the venue and your cancellation terms. Explain whether attendees need to bring anything. Clear information reduces questions and helps people decide whether the workshop is right for them.
