The Tweechi journal

What does an organised week look like for a tutor?

A short routine for lesson planning, attendance and payments can give you more time to focus on your students.

Where should your weekly routine begin?

Review the coming week before the first lesson. Check your student list, lesson times and any outstanding decisions from guardians. Put the details you need in one place so that you do not have to search through messages at the start of a session.

What should you record after each lesson?

Record attendance and a short factual note about the topics covered. Note the next step while the lesson is fresh in your mind. Keep educational notes separate from billing details, and only give colleagues access to the information they need.

When should you check payments?

Choose a regular time each week to review unpaid invoices and package balances. Use a clear invoice number and due date. If a guardian has already paid by bank transfer, record the payment against the right invoice before sending a reminder.
